About Amanda

Amanda is a graphic designer specializing in announcements and other correspondence. Her love for the arts started at a young age. As a child, she was fascinated with colors and was often content with a box of markers and a stack of paper to draw on. This love for arts expanded to elements of design. Amanda graduated with a B.A. in Architecture.

After graduating from college, Amanda started working at a non-profit in California, where she soon moved into a creative role as their in-house designer. This experience led her to pursue her Masters of Fine Arts in 2D (Graphic) Design at Cranbrook Academy of Art. Her experience at Cranbrook was life changing. She was able to get back to what she loved about art and design. She got away from the computers and back to working with her hands. Amanda found the Cranbrook environment stimulating and ventured beyond her comfort zone into the world of printmaking, beginning with the art of screenprinting.

The inspiration to start Made with Love came to Amanda while planning her own wedding. When the opportunity arose to design for other weddings, Amanda jumped at the chance. Those first few clients led to more and Made with Love was born.

What Amanda loves the most about working with her clients in customizing their wedding stationery is the excitement in their eyes as they plan the next step in their lives. She draws from that excitement and it fuels her creative energy.

Weddings are only the beginning of Made With Love. Amanda will be expanding her studio into other sectors of design and printmaking in the months and years to come. For Amanda, each piece of work is a labor of love.

Amanda's Favorite Things, In No Particular Order...

Sound of ocean crashing against the rocks, blue christmas lights all year round, unplanned road trips, autumn colors and its crisp wind, the shade of blue where the ocean meets the horizon off of the Santa Cruz beach, gelato on the coldest day of winter, shabu shabu in the summer, taking a stroll down the beach barefoot, water, red, gingko leaves, vintage graphics and images, fabric, paper, smell of home cooked meals,
being in love.
